Fall 2010 Conference Photos
On October 15 and 16, approximately 95 NHOTA members, non-members and guests attended a wonderful, informative conference at the Opechee Inn and Conference Center in Laconia. AOTA Vice-President Dr. Ginny Stoffel presented our keynote address on “Moving Forward into Leadership.” Alexa Trolley-Hansen presented AOTA and legislative updates during our “Lunch and Learn” session, and NHOTA Vice-President Mary Jane Stenslie presided over all in a welcoming professional manner. It was a great conference for stimulating critical thinking, best practice, networking, and our continued profession. Presentations included Using the Wii, Critical Thinking Skills for Cognitive Assessment, Brain Gym, Stress Management, Vision and Development, Adult Rehabilitation, Productive Aging through Health and Wellness, and Sensory Processing Across the Lifespan.
The awards presentations after lunch were a highlight, especially when Ginny Litalien presented Irene Gordon with the Lifetime Achievement Award! Jodie Heath was awarded OT Practitioner of the Year, Diana Bayer received the Service Award for her work as NHOTA Webmaster, and James Price of Price Creations, Inc. was awarded a Recognition Award for developing our website. Samantha Townsend received the Mary Eileen Dixey Scholarship.
Our thanks to all who attended, to our wonderful presenters, vendors, to the staff of the Opechee Inn and to your NHOTA Board for all their hard work in organizing such a great conference!
